Title Supply Chain Manager

Our client is one of the world’s leading organizations that develop cutting edge systems and software driven by their R&D team and constant innovation. They are currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Manager who will be accountable to plan, develop, optimize, manage and evaluate the supply chains processes of the organization. The Supply chain Manager works closely with decision makers in other departments including upper management to optimize supply chain activities for all aspects of the organization. Lead and manage purchasing, inventory control, forecasting and transportation activities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality execution of all regular purchasing duties
• Oversee the assignments of the individuals engaged in supply chain related duties
• Collaborate with staff, others departments, upper management and decision makers to share information and to clarify management goals
• Develop and participate in the strategic sourcing, procurement, contracting, and evaluation of services
• Implement supply chain management best practices
• Identify and manage risk within the supply chain
• Address tactical and strategic supply chain issues
• Stay informed for advances in supply chain technology and approaches, and apply within the organization to improve processes
• Establish key performance indicators, inventory reports, bid proposals, metrics, requirements documentation and monitor ongoing performance and improve performance against set goals
• Develop and implement new systems, best practices, inventory control, demand planning and other optimizations in order to help the growing needs of the business
• Communicate values, business goals and represent the organization to internal and external stakeholders
• Analyze trends and market conditions for the present and future pricing, availability, lead-time and capacity of goods and services
• Develop and implement all purchasing policies and procedures, including those for equipment, hardware, software and service provision, in conjunction with department leads and department-specific requirements
• Manage and coach Purchasing team staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation and disciplinary actions


Requirements:

• Preferably an university degree in business administration, commerce or any relevant education combined with 10 years related work experience including 3 years in Management position
• Experience in Manufacturing of electronics components industry is a strong asset
• In depth knowledge of end-to-end supply chain processes and best practices
• Strategic and global procurement perspective and planning ability
• Understanding of the entire supply chain cycle from procurement to disposition
• Awareness for new and evolving technologies affecting Purchasing
• English and French, spoken and written. Knowledge of other language is an asset
• Availability for traveling on occasional basis
• Advanced knowledge in the Office Suite(especially in Excel)
