||Manager II, Ontario Works Operations
|Summary of Duties
The Manager of Ontario Works Operations is a leadership role that has accountability for major program sectors including budget, daily operations of Ontario Works and assisting in the development and implementation of ongoing program and procedure development.
||The successful candidate will lead an assigned team, ensuring the delivery of an efficient service under the appropriate legislation and regulations as well as municipal policies. This role will additionally plan, monitor and maintain programs to meet the changing needs of clients as well as liaise with and development relationships with community and government agencies and partners. The incumbent will provide leadership to their team through ongoing coaching, mentoring and performance management, as well as make recommendations on hiring, promotions, demotions, transfers, salary adjustments and staff discipline. The incumbent will be an inspirational leader and will drive accountability and change with their team as well as the Ontario Works program.
- Successful completion of a degree in business related program or public administration.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a progressive and relevant leadership role.
- Proven leadership abilities demonstrating a capacity to support staff and services in a dynamic work environment.
- Demonstrated success as a change agent which has included utilization of leadership and facilitation skills.
- Flexibility with a high level of initiative and self direction.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing demands.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.

Thorough knowledge of the Ontario Works Act and Directives would be an asset
||$75,384 - $101,646
