Summary of Duties
The Geomatics Division, Environmental and Engineering Services requires a survey assistant to work as part of a two-person crew to perform surveying duties including operating total station and GPS equipment under the direction of a party chief, and downloading and performing basic editing of the survey data using AutoCAD Civil3D. Although there is some office work the focus is on field work. Candidates should have a background in Surveying, Civil Engineering or Construction.  Possession of a valid Class 'G' drivers licence is desirable, but not essential.
Qualifications Must be enrolled full-time in a Civil Engineering Technology or Construction Engineering Technology Co-op Diploma Program at a recognized college where this term of employment would be a viable Co-op placement.
Compensation Range $14.67 per hour

  • This is full-time temporary co-op position for a period of up to eight months (May 2013 to December 2013).
  • This position is subject to budget approval.
