Scope of Position
 
The Manager Personal Finance (MPF) Supports the Branch Manager in the strategic planning, organization and administration of all related sales and service functions and activities. The MPF provides leadership through continuous learning, performance assessment, coaching and recognition to a team of sales professionals who are working towards achieving sales and service targets.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
  • Provide training, coaching, mentoring and supervision to a team of sales staff in order to meet sales and service targets
  • Assists Branch Manager in the planning and monitoring of the Branch Annual Operating Plan
  • Oversees operational cash and custody controls executed by staff
  • Filters and distributes communications in a timely manner
  • Assists in coordination of Branch LMA and SWOT Analysis
  • Provides ongoing sales and product training to staff
  • Coordination and administration of sales campaign with management team
  • Works with management team in resolving member issues and ensures staff adhere to branch complaint procedures
  • Assists in audit and monitoring of Branch Reports including monthly analysis of all sales reports with Branch Manager
  • Ensures sales meetings are planned and executed
  • Ensures team is up to date on all industry and corporate changes
  • Ensures staff refer high potential, high value members to appropriate sales staff
  • Controls distribution of lead lists to staff along with referrals from Member Service Representatives
  • Serves as Acting Manager in the absence of Branch Manager
  • Approves rates exceptions/ loans, mortgages and grants supervisory overrides
 
Qualifications
 
  • University degree / college diploma with a minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Thorough understanding of sales process and sales management
  • Thorough understanding of coaching principles
  • Completion of CSC or IFIC is required
  • Thorough understanding of credit granting principles and solid knowledge of Investments
  • PFP or CFP is an asset
  • Industry and market place knowledge to enhance the ability to develop creative and high quality solutions to meet the member’s needs
  • Development and maintenance of internal and external networks
