inVentiv Therapeutics Institute (iTI ) can partner with healthcare providers, practices and associations to raise awareness and educate patients to reach and maintain optimum health outcomes. iTI offers Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE), On-Call Specialists ( including Nurse Specialists), Medical Science Liaison (MSL) or other medical education teams who are uniquely equipped to reach target physicians and influential groups to affect outcomes.
iTI works with clients to build teams that:
• Raise awareness of disease progression and management
• Increase awareness to treat to guidelines
• Develop new markets
• Expand market size
• Assist in gaining access to providers
• Train the practice's staff on proper techniques and use of products
• Train the practice's staff on new protocols and treatment guidelines
• Develop and manage relationships with key local opinion leaders
• Identify under-treated, uncontrolled patients
• Provide post-marketing solutions and services
Job Summary:
The Medical Affairs Specialist has primary  responsibility/accountabilityfor supporting all contract activities necessary in Medical Affairs to meet Client's needs, expectations and department business objectives, and will be expected to respond to requests for Medical Affairs support.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Duties may include, but are not limited to, any of the following:
  • Function as the primary support between SVP and VP Medical Affairs, Client(s), MSLs and inVentiv Health internal departments to ensure contractand business objectives meet requirements.This will require constant communication with key individuals about the status of projects and assignments.
  • Develop standard and ad hoc reports, modify reports based on iTI and Client(s) requests, review reports for accuracy and comprehensiveness of data, apply judgment and commentary of information to appropriate parties, and distribute reports to either internal personnel and Client(s).
  • Develop communications as it relates to regular, standard reports and special ad hoc reports and messages.
  • Communications to incorporate special needs from Client(s), MSLs and inVentiv internal departments. Need to be cognizant of relationships and business rules.
  • Responsible for the management of the inTerplx expense report process. This includes careful monitoring and record keeping of individuals and projects, responding to and resolving employee and manager issues, interact with inTerplx and Finance departments. Identify areas of concern and then take initiative to solve these in a professional  manner. Available to provide frequent updates and reports to inVentiv Health management.
  • Responsible for working with field leadership and monitoring and ensuring accurate and timely Client(s) invoicing and charge backs. Monitor and approve project-related invoicing. Work closely with the Finance organization and inVentiv management.
  • Plan and participate in key business-related team meetings. Responsible for setting up the meeting, contacting participants, preparing agenda, providing pre-meeting information, having up-to-date reports available, communication, and action items identified.Responsible for follow up of action items and keeping other team members  aware of progress.
  • Responsible for key projects usually identified by SVP. These could include tracking productivity, develop a process for maintaining compliance obligations, developing training and orientation agendas and programs.
  • Participate, as required, in all client meetings. These will occur at the Somerset, NJ facility and elsewhere.
  • Available to assist with meeting, travel, and training setup, telephone coverage, generate and revise Powerpoint presentations, other day-to-day administrative tasks, as directed.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by either the Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs or the Vice President of
  • Medical Affairs and Strategy.


Job Qualifications:
Required:BA/BSDegree or equivalent experience.
Required: minimum 2 years as Project Manager  or related experience. Preferred: knowledge and exposure to Medical Affairs



  • Microsoft Office proficiency, especially Excel, Project, and Powerpoint
  • Strong interpersonal (written and verbal) skills with the ability to interact with all levels in the inVentiv and Client organization.
  • Excellent organizational skills, especially in project planning.
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain prioritization of key projects and deadlines.
