Powell River Division has an immediate opening for a Relief Shift Engineer. Key accountabilities of this role are: - Biomass and gas fired power boilers
- Back pressure Turbo Generator
- All Steam Plant auxiliary equipment
- Mixed bed demineralizer water treatment plant
- Compressed air, mill water, steam & condensate infrastructure across the mill
- Biomass fuel delivery system and secondary effluent treatment plant operation
- Power Distribution Centre

| Requirements/Skills |
Eligible for BC certification as Power Engineer (2nd class preferred – 3rd class with papers towards 2nd will be considered), you bring a solid technical understanding of steam and power production as well as effluent and water treatment. As you’ll be called on to oversee other employees, previous supervisory or training experience will be essential for this role. A pulp and paper background would be an asset. |
