| Overview |
The Powell River Division has an immediate opening for a Specialist, Operations Mechanical Pulping. Reporting to the Manager, Mechanical Pulping, this role exists to provide manufacturing expertise and knowledge to support achieving manufacturing objectives. |
| Requirements/Skills |
The Specialist, Operations Mechanical Pulping is accountable for the following:
• Ensure operators have knowledge, experience and procedures to make product safely and efficiently to specification;
• Provide timely communication of equipment maintenance requirements;
• Maintain lock out and confined space procedures;
• Maintain operator technical training materials;
• Ensure daily operating plans are communicated and executed;
• Direct the activities of crew on maintenance down days;
• Provide troubleshooting expertise.
• Optimize manufacturing processes and recommend equipment and process improvements to achieve manufacturing objectives. Qualifications • The successful candidate will be a self starter with strong troubleshooting and technical abilities. • Preference will be given to applicants with an engineering or a technical background. Operations experience in a manufacturing environment would be a definite asset. |
