| Role Purpose/Accountabilities |
To produce a reliable supply of high quality seed by executing production plant tasks assigned by Plant Management. Manage seed receiving and conditioning equipment operations to insure that all seed is properly handled and conditioned so the highest quality seed will be packaged to meet sale demands. To monitor all plant equipment and keep in good state of repair through a preventive maintenance schedule. During growing season will be assigned production area to monitor seed quality through field inspections and record keeping. Assist site maintenance manager in making repairs and improvements to plant equipment. Foster an operational culture founded on HSE and process improvement.
Accountabilities:
• Tasks may include but not limited to Corn and/or Soybean: Sizer/Gravity Operator Bagger/Sewer Operator, Supervise Bagging Operations - Manage the bagging of product per instructions provided by plant management. Will need to know how bagging equipment works. Making sure all bagging supplies are available per instructions. Might manage certain amount of manpower. Oversee bagging crew to ensure product is packaged according to quality requirements. Enter daily bagging quality information on computer to update inventory. Treater Operator Dryer Technician Sheller Operator Area Manager- Assisting Field Manager, Asst. Plant Manager, Plant Manager or Agronomist with communicating and contracting acreage with growers, supervising the planting of seed crop, scouting fields for insects and diseases, assigning area during harvest (drying, shelling, field, etc), organizing field inspections process and managing field crews. Responsible for pesticide management program including scouting, diagnosis, application and documentation. Rouging and detasseling of seed fields in assigned area for seed production. Machine Operator - Operates tractor, harvest equipment and/or other equipment. Field Crew Leader Dispatcher/Distribution Technician - Assist and manage distribution scheduling/reporting and dispatch. Provide superior delivery and customer service to all customers by providing professional carriers, on time, correct products. Meet distribution and management goals. Efficiently manage costs of seed distribution and seed interplant transfers. Schedule and ship “Full Truck Loads” for cost efficiency. Ensure seed shipments and interplant transfers meet the demands of the sales agents, management goals and quality standards. Outsourcing Technician – Function as a Seed Quality Lead performing all necessary SAP transactions to support seed distribution from quality standpoint. Ensure all SAP data is accurate, complete and up-to-date. Support SAP transactional activity for outsource operations. Validate products shipped meet all quality standards. May be required to work in an office environment for long periods of time if involved with these tasks. Receiving/Sorting Coordinator - Assist with dealer returns of packaging supplies. Data entry to update inventory and deliveries. Inventory Management - ensuring warehouse product inventory will be accurately reported at all times. Seed shipments and interplant transfers will be accurate. Additionally may oversee quality and inventory management transactional activity if site is also involved in distribution and/or outsourcing. Pesticide Applicator Picker Operator Plant Crew Leader IPM Coordinator Maler Delay Coordinator PCL Lab Operator Tractor and Harvest equipment operator Learn and understand operation and set-up procedures of conveying equipment, elevator legs, air screen cleaner, spirals, sizing equipment and gravity tables used in seed conditioning. Become knowledgeable of Syngenta quality standards that are to be achieved with conditioning and seed clean-down procedures used between variety changes to eliminate cross variety contamination Perform and record quality checks on seed at receiving area and during conditioning process Help with maintenance and repair to plant equipment Manage assigned field production area in summer and fall performing field inspections Operate forklift in a safe and proper manner Help in other areas of the plant, warehouse, and production as workload requires GPS Mapping fields

| Knowledge, Skills & Experience |
Critical knowledge • Must be High School graduate or GED degree • Associate degree in agronomy (or related plant science), Ag. Business is preferred but not required • An Agricultural background is also preferred but not required • Commercial Pesticide Applicators License preferred
Critical experience • Minimum 2 years of seed industry experience preferred • Management experience preferred but not necessary • Experience in inventory, distribution processes and/or managing quality transactional data in SAP may be preferred in some locations.
Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities • Excellent communication skills to work well with co-workers on plant tasks and in field production management with farmer growers • Excellent organization skills to plan out work and conditioning schedules that will best utilize the plant and receiving storage capacities. • Good writing and math skills. • Team orientated to work with everyone at the plant to successfully complete work schedule and to accomplish safety targets. To work together on in-bound seed into receiving storage and with bagging supervisor on bin space available to condition seed into. • PC and business software skills. Willingness to learn SAP if necessary. • Supervisory skills • Decisive • Trusted - Will need to make good sound judgment calls in regards to seed quality management that will be for the best interest of the company. • Results-Oriented • Innovative - To always look to implement new procedures or technologies to improve work efficiencies • Detail/Accuracy Oriented - All procedures and policies must be understood and followed. Data entry into data management systems must be accurate due to decisions being made by other departments based on the information given • Ability to adapt to changing environmental/situational needs such as rain, snow storms and very cold temperatures that can affect the scheduling and operation of the plant • Ability to make timely, effective decisions • Ability to remain flexible and responsive when faced with multiple urgent requests due to change in schedule because of weather or variety changes • Self Motivated • CDL license may be required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Must be able to read reports, write legibly, posses good math and computer skills • Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. • Must be able to walk or stand or sit for extended periods of time • Climb ladders and stairs in plant and storage bins • To work outside at different height levels on storage bins and elevator legs.
WORKING CONDITIONS WHILE PERFORMING ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Noisy dusty environments in plant during operations and seed clean down procedures • Longer hours during spring and fall peak seasonal times • Hot or cold conditions • Must be able to work in field under adverse conditions
OTHER • Have valid driver license. • A minimum of 2 years in current position is required (requirement for internal applicants only) • All applicants must be eligible to work in the US.
