| Role Purpose/Accountabilities |
Manage NAFTA corn, soya, and miscellaneous field crop distribution operations to meet business goals and operational KPIs. Provide structured guidance and lead training of site dispatch teams in all distribution processes and SAP transactions. Work in conjunction with demand planning, customer care, credit, master data, and sales to ensure Syngenta is delivering seed in a way that adds high value. Identify and lead specific change and process improvement projects. Provide the key operational link to Syngenta’s third party logistic providers and ensure any interface issues are resolved quickly.
Accountabilities
• Responsible for distribution of seed from all internal and outsource sites to include outbound, interplant, and return shipments • Provide subject matter expertise on SAP systems processes required for seed distribution • Plan and lead training of site dispatch staff and ensure they meet the required competency framework • Track and resolve seed delivery issues and develop actions for improvement • Track and resolve carrier payment errors in conjunction with 3PLs (3rd Party Logistic Providers) • Set ship points and ship goals in conjunction with the commercial operations, site operations, and the Commercial Distribution Manager • Review and maintain the CORE carrier base of ~300 carriers to support seed shipments • Plan and coordinate peak season dedicated fleet as required • Ensure SOX compliance by keeping all distribution related documentation up to date • Work with 3PL/IS/Dispatch leads to deliver business process or systems solutions to issues identified • Work with 3PL/IS/Dispatch leads and wider SC/Operations team to identify and deliver operational improvements • Help Finance and Brands resolve year end account discrepancies • Organize and lead the weekly distribution call with all site leads to understand shipping progress and address current issues
