| Position Overview |
The West Vancouver Legislative Services Department has an immediate opening for a casual Clerk III for approximately 3 months. |
| Responsibilities |
Reporting to the Manager of Legislative Services, this position will be responsible for: • Minute taking at Council and committee meetings; • Providing departmental administrative support including assisting with property notifications, processing various applications, maintaining records, and liaising with other departments and the public; and • Other assigned duties as required. |
| Requirements |
The successful candidate will possess: the ability to take and prepare accurate and detailed meeting minutes; knowledge of local government rules, regulations, process and procedures; the ability to perform detailed work accurately and efficiently; the ability to meet strict deadlines; the ability to meet and deal tactfully and effectively with the public; the ability to communicate and maintain effective working relationships with administrative officials and other employees; the ability to work well within a team; the ability to maintain complex records; and the ability to perform diversified tasks with minimal supervision.
Extensive experience and/or training in Microsoft Office is required and experience with web based communication tools is considered an asset.
The successful candidate is required to supply a criminal record check and a copy of their credentials. |
