Human Resources and Volunteer Management:
Responsible for the recruitment, selection, orientation, training, supervision, continuing education and performance review of volunteers.
Effectively delivers client services consistent with established standards.
Provides input into the development of the strategic and operational plan and budget for SMART Program as appropriate.
In collaboration with the Senior Program Development Coordinator and the Manager of Community Support Services, plans for and develops new community support/volunteer services.
Functions in accordance with the principles of client-focused service and continuous quality improvement and the standards of VON Canada.
Promotes Community Support/Volunteer Services to community agencies and the general public to increase awareness, and for the benefit of individual clients by representing VON in a professional and positive manner.
Functions in accordance with the VON vision, mission, philosophy, values and VON Canada and Branch policies and procedures.
