Job Summary Nurses who join our team receive diverse assignments and ongoing clinical education and training opportunities. Responsibilities Caring for clients in the community, home setting. Working independently as well as collaboratively with various health care disciplines. Assessment and observational skills, therapeutic communication and holistic nursing. Palliative, end of life care, care of clients of varying ages, and wound care. Work within the full scope of RN practice.
Qualifications
  • Registration with RNANS and a graduate from an accredited school of nursing
  • Some previous clinical experience, with knowledge of the community-nursing model of care
  • Demonstrated competencies in observation, independent assessment and health education
  • Proficient in clinical nursing skills, and ability to read and interpret technical and clinical instructions related to client care 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A valid NS driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Valid CPR C / First Aid required
  • Knowledge of wound care an asset
  • Computer knowledge an asset
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other health care disciplines.
Other Relevant Information Hours of work are 8:00am - 4:00 pm with an on call requirement.
