Position Description  
The Role:
 
 
Key responsibilities AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
 
Oversee critical paths and execute to event timelines
Establish and monitor budgets
Actively identify, solicit and engage corporate giving through sponsorship and participation
Conduct an evaluation of events and make recommendations for improvement
Deliver prompt, personal and meaningful gift acknowledgeable correspondence to participants, donors and sponsors
Responsible for all aspects of the execution of fundraising events
Support and motivate team of senior committee volunteers
Ensure exceptional customer service from event staff, to participants, by ensuring that public inquiries are responded to in a timely manner
Participate in regular Foundation events and activities.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
 
Three years of relevant event coordination experience
Demonstrates ability to set and exceed goals
Ability to plan, organize and work independently
Demonstrates planning skills (strategic, time management and priority setting)
Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills
Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and networking skills
Demonstrates an appreciation for collaborative team work
Capable of managing several projects simultaneously and is a multi-task thinker
Ability to work effectively with a broad range of volunteers
Ability to work with a large degree of self-discipline without direct supervision
Command of current fundraising options and trends
Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Raisers Edge
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work with external vendors and suppliers
Member of AFP, AHP, CGAP or CCAE with a commitment to professional standards   established by the Association
University /College degree
 
Salary and benefits:                    
 
Salary will be commensurate with skills and experience.
