Position Description
Temporary Casual (MLOA Coverage- Up to 1 year)
Hours of Work:        Flexible hours Tuesdays & Thursdays
                                  Potential for increased hours
Key Qualifications:       
  • Ph.D. in clinical psychology
  • Registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario
  • Previous related experience in rehabilitation/health psychology
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the assessment and treatment of clients with various psychiatric diagnoses, such as depression, anxiety and stress, etc.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Possesses initiative, creativity and strong skills in problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making
  • Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary environment
  • Demonstrates sound knowledge of community resources
Position Summary:
  • As an active member of an interdisciplinary team is responsible for the timely delivery of psychology services primarily to injured workers within the WSIB Specialty Programs and some consultation to spine rehabilitation patients
  • Will provide diagnostic assessment and short-term treatment services 
  • Will provide psychotherapeutic interventions such as counseling, group therapy (as appropriate), psycho-education
  • Will perform assessments and reviews for third party payer clients as required
  • Participates in program planning, continuous quality improvement and evaluation
