Position Description  
Key Qualifications:
  • A current annual certificate of competency with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Able to function to the full scope of practice as per CNO
  • Medication Certificate and experience with administration of medication within the last year required
  • Previous experience working in an acute medical/surgical setting with sound patient care nursing skills (IV therapy, wound care, etc.)
  • Must successfully complete Medworxx Utilization Management certification within 6 months of start date
  • Patient physical assessment course required
  • Experience with patient centred and partnership care models
  • Experience working in a Float Pool preferred
  • Must have effective interpersonal, communication, organizational and problem solving skills
  • Reliable and flexible individual who is willing to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team environment
  • Positive attendance and work record essential
Position Summary:
  • Working as a member of an inter-professional team to ensure high quality care
  • Responsible for the provision of nursing care, teaching and coaching to patients and their families
  • Responsible and accountable for the provision of nursing care in accordance with the standards of nursing practice and THC Best Practice Protocols
  • Reports to the Manager, Enabling Patient Access & Patient Flow
  • As a member of the Staffing Office Team, you will be scheduled to work on a variety of units
