Key Qualifications: Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario NICU Certificate preferred Current experience in NICU, Paediatrics experience is an asset Current NRP Certificate Current CPR Certificate Breastfeeding experience or willingness to complete Lactation Consultant Program Ability to think critically and effectively in order to prioritize needs in emergency situations Highly effective decision making, problem solving and organizational skills combined with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written Reliable and flexible individual to work as part of a diverse work team Positive attendance and work record essential Willingness to consider and accommodate the needs of the parents taking into consideration the diversity of the parents cultures, religions and background Position Summary: Responsible and accountable for decisions and actions in the provision and management of nursing care for patients Ability to assess, monitor and provide care for sick neonates in an intermediate Level 2B Nursery Must be willing to work in all children’s areas as needed Familiarity with hospital, college, and unit policies, as well as unit procedures Customer and family focused care Commitment to working co-operatively within the Women’s and Children’s Health System Progressive, innovative and problem-solving team player that supports the vision of Trillium and the philosophy of the W&C Health System |
