Position Description Key Qualifications:      
Must hold a current Independent Practice Certificate with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario; applicants eligible for a Supervised Practice Certificate will be considered
Recent experience in acute inpatient physiotherapy
Specific experience in respiratory physiotherapy, including assessment, treatment and patient/family teaching
Eligibility for active membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association
Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support is preferred
Ability to work with minimal direction/supervision
Good organizational, planning and time management skills
Excellent communication skills
Flexibility and adaptability to change are essential
Computer skills related to e-mail are an asset
Position Summary:
The Physiotherapist will provide assessment and treatment programs, in the Emergency Health System to facilitate patient flow through the hospital with appropriate discharge plans. The role will be focused around admitted patients and the therapist will work with an integrated interdisciplinary team to provide patient-centred care.
