This position is responsible for the research, coordination and recruitment of top quality candidates. The Executive Transportation Recruiter headhunts high quality professional and executive-level candidates for direct hire on behalf of our contingent and retained clients.
Responsibilities Initiate contact with professionals in the industry in order to recruit candidates for Trans-Logic's clients
Use effective communication approaches that include proactively keeping others informed, appropriately expressing ideas and thoughts verbally and in written form and timeliness
Provide complete, accurate, and inspiring information to candidates about the company and position
Prescreen candidates and present prescreened candidates
Review resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge in relation to position requirements
Manage and coordinate clear and concise communication with candidates
Interviews selected candidates including the use of face-to-face behavioral- based interviewing methodologies
Manage the scheduling and logistics of interviews for candidates
Prepare candidates for client interviews following Trans-Logic standard operating procedure
Perform detailed reference checking and/or reference analysis on selected candidates and present results to hiring managers as per Trans-Logic standard operating procedure
Extend offers of employment to selected candidates
Participate in full lifecycle recruiting including the presentation, selection, offer, negotiation, and closing
Participates in the development of ongoing creative and cost-effective sourcing strategies
Develops an effective pipeline of key talent potentially available for immediate hire as succession planning needs dictate
Requirements Sales and Business Development experience
Ability to make Cold calls
Organizational and time management skills
2 years experience in recruiting, preferably in the Transportation and Supply Chain industry
Must be able to manage competing demands, accept criticism and constructive feedback, while being extremely adaptable and flexible
Excellent project management, writing, and oral communication skills are required
Demonstrated ability to command the attention and respect of senior level leaders
Demonstrated ability to recruit for a broad/deep range of positions
Ability to travel as required
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
Strong initiative and solid judgment abilities/skills
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of applications and the use of email
Must be Internet savvy and experienced in mining online databases and online research projects
Must have the ability to quickly learn systems, processes, and procedures
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent communications skills, both oral and written
Background in the Freight, Transportation or Supply Chain industry would be an asset
