||A strategic and analytical Operations Manager with 10+ years of experience leading change within a Distribution environment is required within our client organization. The successful candidate will be tasked with capturing data to develop performance metrics that drive continuous improvement. The Operations Manager will lead distribution center operations within a 85,000 sq. ft. facility with responsibility for the smooth distribution of materials to customers and branch locations across southwestern Ontario and an in-house fleet. Professional presentation and inspirational leadership skills are required for this role. Additional responsibilities include overseeing customer service, staffing, expense management and adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
||Responsible for the performance of all distribution center and branch staff
Analyzing current operations and using data to develop continuous improvement KPIs related to Distribution operations, including customer service, warehousing and delivery processes
Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and to determine areas needing program improvement
Ensure staff are meeting and exceeding established goals , including on-time delivery and shipment accuracy
Monitor branch counter and service performance, ensuring a high level of service is provided at all times
Manage inventory processes, including cycle counting, product handling, vendor returns, etc.
Provide senior leadership and direction in the selection, development and termination of employees across the distribution center and all southwestern Ontario branches
Continually assess and report on service levels in the region (staffing, delivery, stock levels, etc.)
Responsible for in-house fleet management, including leasing, maintenance, MTO and CVOR compliance
Developing effective systems and procedures to manage same/next day delivery
Conduct trucking territory reviews; GPS analytics
Manage company-wide building/equipment maintenance and capital expense budgeting/implementation
Oversee the annual physical inventory count across the organization
Provide warehouse safety leadership with responsibility for improved safety performance in all locations; ensure compliance and adherence to all health and safety regulations
Ensure procedures that maintain the security of material and equipment are adhered to across the company; oversee building alarm security and loss prevention program planning
Provide all employees with a confidential “open-door” environment to communicate questions, concerns or comments
||Post secondary education preferred
10+ years of senior multi-site wholesale Distribution Operations management experience
Background in the industrial supply industry; previous experience with time calls and specialized delivery requirements
Previous success improving warehouse and distribution processes
Skilled in Inventory and Logistics management
Able to effectively manage staff onsite and within satellite facilities
Analytical and strategic
Energetic, enthusiastic and passionate
Experience in the use of WMS, PKMS environments and ISO or internal quality systems
||$75 - 90K + Profit Sharing + 3 Weeks Vacation + Benefit Program + RSP Match
