Title Regional Dry Bulk Sales Professional ONTARIO or QUEBEC 6080
Overview The Regional Dry Bulk Sales Professional will be responsible for revenue generation activities for the transport of dry bulk goods, including creating marketing programs to achieve sales goals. The successful candidate will develop distribution channels, building strategic business relationships, formulating innovative business development strategies and providing vision for all sales strategies and their execution. The Regional Dry Bulk Sales Professional is also responsible for minimizing costs of selling and staying within marketing development budgets.

Responsibilities Create and implement sales goals and objectives, including sales quotas and budgets
Maintain key customer relationships and develop new business opportunities by prospecting for prospective clients
Achieve revenue and gross margin targets
Source and quote on contracts
Conduct regular pricing analysis, remaining current on industry trends
Plan and monitor the marketing budget
Execute long term and short term sales strategy to accelerate business growth
Explore new and adjacent markets that align with the company growth strategy
Assess operational issues in regards to competitiveness
Remain current on external and internal developments in the environment for identifying new market segments
Foster an environment of continuous improvement

Requirements Undergraduate degree preferred; MBA considered an asset
5+ years experience in the dry bulk transport industry
Some understanding of dry bulk transportation operations is required
Proven record of increasing margins through the aggressive management of price, mix, cost
Established contacts and relationships with potential customers and channel partners
Consultative sales ability with strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results driven, team orientated environment
Candidates bilingual in English and French are preferred
