We are seeking a proven leader with a positive attitude and strong business acumen to provide direction to the Timmins Field Service Team ensuring consistent implementation of policies and procedures in conjunction with the operations and increased market share while keeping superior customer service constant.

Position Field Service Supervisor

Reporting To Product Support Manager
Key Accountabilities
  • Schedule field workload to maximize productivity of service operations
  • Prepare invoices for internal and external customers
  • Manage and control work-in-process in a timely manner
  • Administer warranty decisions and subsequent claims
  • Promote customer satisfaction and follow up repairs and collaborate with other departments to deliver high level service
  • Maintain the fleet of field service trucks
  • Manage assets and employees at remote locations
  • Improve customer and employee satisfaction by initiating corrective procedures relating to the field service operations
  • Train and coach team members and administer performance evaluations and ensure all employees comply with established company and customer safety rules
  • Investigate and report all accidents or near misses
  • Promote and participate in safe work and environmentally sound behaviours and training at all times in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policy/Program(s) and best practices
Key Qualifications
  • Post Secondary Education with a technical focus and experience in a supervisory role (an asset)
  • Minimum 5 years experience in the heavy equipment industry and strong technical aptitude with CAT Products
  • Effective communication skills to effectively interact across all levels of the organization
  • Strong leadership, coaching and team building skills
  • Excellent negotiating, analytical and organizational, problem solving skills with a high sense of urgency
  • Self-motivated and adaptable to changing and multiple priorities to meet aggressive deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Applications, DBS, SIS and Caterpillar Corporate Web Navigation 
  • Willing and able to travel and work flexible hours in support of the needs of the business
  • Must possess valid passport and a valid Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract
