The City of Surrey’s Human Resources Team is currently seeking a Temporary Part-time (4 day week) Human Resources Assistant who is committed to teamwork, and providing superior customer service.  

 

Scope

We are looking for an energetic, customer focused Human Resource professional for the temporary position of Human Resources Assistant. Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources and working as an administrator in the area of recruitment and selection, you will be an integral member of the Human Resources team.  You will work in partnership with the Employment Specialists, HR Generalists and hiring managers to ensure quality and value throughout the hiring process.  Performing job responsibilities linked to recruitment administration (job postings, HRIS input, interview coordination, etc.) and HRIS support, this job plays an important role in ensuring the City identifies and welcomes new staff.

 

To succeed in this position, you need a commitment to service, are highly detailed and team-orientated. You are a flexible and resourceful individual who takes changing priorities in stride.  You demonstrate initiative and a positive attitude. 


 

Requirements

The successful candidate will have 1-2 years’ experience in a Human Resources department along with related education. You are proficient with Microsoft Office programs; have experience working with HRIS systems and ATS systems.

Note Effective fall 2013, City Hall will be moving to a new state-of-the-art facility located in North Surrey (King George and 104th area). Surrey's New City Hall (NCH) is part of the Build Surrey program, designed to make Surrey an even more exciting place to live and work, and to position the city for growth over the next decade. NCH will act as a catalyst to stimulate job creation in the city and will be easily accessible to residents and businesses.
