Title Information Services Manager
Working in partnership with the largest municipal RCMP detachment in Canada, we provide services to the half a million residents of the city from our main office on 57th Avenue and from our five district offices. We work closely with the community on crime prevention initiatives, as well as provide support and advice to those who have been affected by crime.

The Surrey RCMP Support Services is looking to fill an Information Services Manager position.
The Surrey RCMP Support Services, Information Services Manager reports to the Manager, Information Services and Technology, and is accountable for the following:
  • Internal and external records management services
  • The review, storage, access, purging and validation of police records.  
  • Leads a large administrative team in maintaining an effective and efficient records management system that ensures the accuracy of police records. 
Key deliverables include building record management strategies to meet the City of Surrey, other external clients and RCMP business objectives, while meeting critical information quality standards.  
The successful candidate will have a bachelor degree in a related field, or a degree/diploma with at least 5 years of records management and 5 years management experience, leading teams in a complex administrative function. The successful candidate has a positive, innovative and proactive demeanor with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, is customer services oriented and has demonstrated competencies in information management. Previous police record (information management) experience, including working with the Provincial Records Information Management Environment (PRIME) system is an asset.

Note Effective fall 2013, City Hall will be moving to a new state-of-the-art facility located in North Surrey (King George and 104th area). Surrey's New City Hall (NCH) is part of the Build Surrey program, designed to make Surrey an even more exciting place to live and work, and to position the city for growth over the next decade.
