Position Overview
The City of Surrey’s Parks, Recreation and Culture Department currently requires energetic, self motivated team leaders to join us as auxiliary Children’s Birthday Party Instructors.
Scope

This position is focused on instructing, facilitating and organizing children’s activities for between two (2) and four (4) hour intervals. You will be working with children between the ages of 3 and 10. This involves using your creative skills in a leadership role to organize kids’ activities and plan group events. Kids’ activities may include a variety of crafts, physical activities, and games.

Requirements

Applicants must have activity specific training and experience leading activities within the appropriate age group in a recreational setting. Applicants must possess strong oral communication skills; solid organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills and should be able to work independently. The successful candidate will have Emergency First Aid with CPR.

 
We are looking for outgoing and enthusiastic individuals with strong leadership abilities and a passion for children.

Important Note Effective fall 2013, City Hall will be moving to a new state-of-the-art facility located in North Surrey (King George and 104th area). Surrey's New City Hall (NCH) is part of the Build Surrey program, designed to make Surrey an even more exciting place to live and work, and to position the city for growth over the next decade. NCH will act as a catalyst to stimulate job creation in the city and will be easily accessible to residents and businesses.
