Starkey Hearing Technologies is seeking a Field Sales Executive to increase sales and provide superb customer service to customers in the Greater Los Angeles Area, CA.
The Field Technical Sales Specialist (FTSS) is responsible for contributing to the achievement of the company in a Designated Market Area (DMA) territory through product technical product training, sales support for existing customers, and development of new customer relationships (prospecting). All FTSS must possess an aptitude for rapid and effective learning/communication of technical information related to hearing aids, both orally and in writing. They must be highly organized and self-directed, while also being adaptable to changing market conditions. They must thrive in a collaborative environment, and are required to work directly with the Inside Sales Representative (ISR) to zone, work, and grow market share in their DMA territory. FTSS reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager (RSM). Travel is required, and current benchmarks include 15 in-office technical sales visits per week with new/existing customers, plus 5 visits with non-buyer prospect accounts. Position requires daily, weekly, and monthly reports using corporate CRM software. FTSS must maintain ethical, professional, and personal conduct consistent with Starkey Corporate policy at all times.
Education: Doctor of Audiology higly preferred. 4 year degree required.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in the hearing aid manufacturing field, or medical instrument sales
Knowledge; Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and Pivotal.

1. Develop a strategy to increase market share percentage and digital product mix.
2. Provide Technical Support to accounts using computerized technology
3. Track sales strategy and dispenser information
4. Provide regional training classes with groups of no less than six accounts regarding new technology.
1.1 Perform sales consultations at businesses to find a need and direct them to best margin products to purchase.
1.2 Counsel Business owners as to methods to increase profitability.
2 Schedule a minimum two-three office visits a day, with additional cold calls around the schedule visits. Monthly quantity of visits should not fall below sixty-account contacts.
2.1 Identify quality accounts to sign up for the Hearing Alliance programs.
2.2 Enter contact and sales calls into Pivotal
2.1 Educate dispensing offices as well as referring hospitals on how to use the Software to improve the success of their digital fitting.
