| Job Description |
Qualifications: - Education: High school diploma, GED or educational equivalent preferred. Must be a graduate of a accredited school of nursing. Current license in good standing in the state where the Community is located as an LVN/LPN as required for specific location
- Experience: At least one year of experience working in long-term care preferred. Knowledge and experience working with residents with Alzheimer’s disease and/or related dementia highly desirable. Experience as a lead or charge nurse is highly desirable.
- Supervisory Experience (if applicable): One year of experience supervising others is desired. This would include, but is not limited to: setting performance expectations, coaching, motivating, promoting collaboration and teamwork, promoting company culture, managing change, providing performance feedback, delegating effectively, resolving conflicts, etc.
- Other: Strong verbal communication skills are essential in order to facilitate conversations with staff and residents. Solid organizational skills and ability to work as a team member required. Must have valid driver license, good driving record, and current auto insurance. Ability to read, write and speak English. Must be comfortable working in an environment with pets and assisting in the care of community pets, including, but not limited to, dogs, cats, and birds. Willing to demonstrate passion and ability to work with people with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia-related disease.
Summary of Major Functions: Reports to the Director of Health Services. Understands and practices the Mission, principles, and values of Silverado Senior Living. Hours and shifts of duty may vary.
