Job Description  
BACKGROUND
 
Sid Lee is an international creative agency with offices in Montreal, Toronto, Amsterdam, Paris, and New York. We conceive brand experiences – by creating products, services, and spaces – and market them through advertising, experiential marketing, branded content, and interactive communications. Commercial creativity is how we define this novel integrated multidisciplinary approach. We are a team of 600 artisans.
 
MISSION
 
Guard Sid Lee New York’s financial health and stability and maximize profitability and ROI by optimizing overall administration and accounting processes and leading all financial aspects related to the business, whilst performing as a team player and key contributor on senior management level.
 
ROLE AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
 
The Finance Director is in charge of overall administration and accounting for the New York office and works closely together with our Montreal headquarters.
 
 
Accounting & Administration
 
-Prepare and manage KPIs and annual targets and monthly P&L
-Manage all aspects related to Sales taxes and income taxes (submissions, payments, statements etc.)
-Monitor overall financial performance and ensure profitability objectives are met
-Manage the cash flow through cash flow statements and bank balance monitoring
-Manage the administration and accounting team
-Keep an ongoing dialogue between relevant stakeholders in all offices
-Prepare required financial statements and KPI reports on regular basis 
-Monitor financial agreements with strategic suppliers
-Manage auditors, lenders and R&D credits
-Monitor corporate and legal activities (companies, agreements, contracts, etc.)   
Accompany partners and account people in negotiations of important agreements
-Manage accounts receivable and payable, both internally and externally
-Support, guide, and monitor account teams on finance management
-Manage regular pro-forma revenue projections
-Identify opportunities for directing business development efforts
-Monitor and optimize project profitability
-Monitor company investments (hiring, CAPEX, etc.)
-Ongoing search for optimization opportunities and process improvement
-Lead financial/admin process change and implementation, and follow through
-Perform as team player and key contributor at senior management level
 
Travel
 
-Regular travel to Montreal might be required

JOB REQUIREMENTS
 
 
  • Bachelor’s in Business Administration or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, in an international agency environment
  • Experienced working with global clients
  • Thorough knowledge of creative (agency) industry
  • Thorough knowledge of Accounting and Administration tools (Maconomy experience is an asset)
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office
