Junior Security Analyst (Contract) (Initiatives/Opportunities to January 2015)
Under direct supervision and reporting to the i3 Technical Team Lead for the i3-ERP project, the Junior Security Analyst (JSA) is responsible for supporting the efforts to secure the integrity of the Seneca PeopleSoft Campus Solution environment and PeopleSoft i3 project needs. Working with the Intermediate Security Analyst (ISA), the JSA continuously evaluates the secured PeopleSoft environment applying security maintenance and proactively applying preventative security measures, based on assigned tasks.
I3 Project and User Support • Completes all security related work efforts and reports back with results prior to deployment. Assist in collecting information related to establishing PeopleSoft system security specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, access, information, and requirements. Ensures the Technical Lead is well informed of work activities and client queries. • Completes work packages based on assigned requirements and coordinates the work load with the Intermediate Security Analyst for additional support and reviews. • Assists to ensure that security related project deliverables adhere to established policies, standards / procedures, and that these deliverables meet internal and external audit requirements and are in line with project timelines and requirements. • Informs designated Tech Lead and ISA of any information that may identify challenges to project schedules, missed project deliverables, incomplete tasks or inaccurate results. • Reviews requests and coordinates user setup and access, executes the assigned setup tasks and validates results, and decommissions users, accounts and privileges where required. • Monitors security data integrity as it relates to the PeopleSoft applications and project services. • Under direct supervision, deploy and administers PeopleSoft Security Tools. • Responds appropriately to escalated support requirements to address application, database and security issues. • Other duties as assigned.
• Minimum three (3) year diploma/degree in computer related equipment or application and systems support, or related field. • Academic and field experience that includes: • Basic knowledge of programming techniques, PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, PeopleTools development technology, JDeveloper, Java, XML. • Experience with LDAP and single sign-on (SSO) technologies for enterprise authentication and authorization. • Basic understanding of the risks inherent to security management within PeopleSoft. • Understanding of segregation of duty concerns as it relates to business processes and also security controls within a technology setting • Auditing and reporting on all access entities (role, permission list, components, etc.). • Basic technical knowledge of object-oriented software analysis and design techniques including J2EE and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). • Knowledge and basic experience of the software development lifecycle and the project management lifecycle with excellent organizational and time management skills. • Well-developed interpersonal, customer service and communication skills (verbal and written) to interact effectively with multi-cultural/racial/able students, staff and the public are required. • May be required to respond to operational status of production computer systems outside of normal working hours, including evening, nights, weekends and holidays.
Hourly Wage Rate
Payband G: Start rate $26.92, Maximum rate $31.21
Weekly Hours of Work
40 hours (overtime as required). Monday to Friday
