Reporting to the Manager, Cooperative Education, activities mainly involve support for the Coop Co-ordinators and involve duties such as posting positions on the electronic job board, compiling data for reports and data entry. This is a part-time position working up to 24 hours per week.
• Maintaining an effective office management system (purchasing, printing, attendance, vacation records, supply orders) • Assisting with scheduling of coop monitoring visits • Facilitating the recruiting application process by posting positions on the web, retrieving student resumes from the database, arranging the delivery of resumes to employers and posting interview schedules to the database system • Administering the Cooperative Education Department’s web based database tool ensuring that information is accurate and up to date; entering, updating, manipulating data to provide specific reports, and making necessary preparations in time for the release of new versions of the database • Generating regular reports and inputting attendance • Other duties as assigned
• Demonstrated competencies attained through a recognized post-secondary certificate in a related program complemented by one year of experience in a secretarial/reception role or equivalent combination of qualifications and experience. • Demonstrated proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, ARIES online system, and email. • Demonstrated customer service and problem solving skills; ability to prioritize and communicate a customer service orientation. • Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills, with the ability to interact effectively with the College’s multi-cultural/racial/able staff, students, and faculty. • Strong time management and organizational skills. • Ability to perform under pressure and work independently as well as in a team environment; initiative and adaptability to changing situations and workload.
