Intermediate Security Analyst (Contract) (Initiatives/Opportunities to January 2015)
Reporting to the i3 Technical Team Lead for the i3-ERP project, the Intermediate Security Analyst (ISA) is responsible for the secured integrity of the Seneca PeopleSoft Campus Solution environment. The ISA is the key contact regarding security issues related to the PeopleSoft environment and is responsible for deliverables assigned to the Junior level Security Analyst. The ISA coordinates activities with Seneca team members and Deloitte (Integrator) teams.
I3 Project and User Support • Coordinates all security related work efforts, establishes PeopleSoft system security specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, access, information, and requirements, and ensures the Technical Lead is well informed of work activities. • Plans work packages based on assigned requirements and coordinates the work load with the Junior Security Analyst. Tracks and validates completed work. The ISA is responsible for all deliverables and reports back to the Technical Lead. • Ensures that security related project deliverables adhere to established policies, standards / procedures, and that these deliverables meet internal and external audit requirements and are in line with project timelines and requirements. • Provides senior-level, critical thinking skills in security administration in relation to projects. • Works directly with the i3 team, ITS, and business process owners to define strong business domain knowledge and understanding business processes in order to assist in the design and develop security requirements. • Reviews requests and coordinate user setup and access. Assigns the setup tasks to the JSA, and validates the results. The process includes building profiles to control user and developer access on all environments. • Monitors security data integrity as it relates to the PeopleSoft applications and project services. • Deploys and administers PeopleSoft Security Tools. • Ensures defined policies and procedures are followed for decommissioning of users, accounts and privileges. • Coordinates the appropriate action to take when a security fault is detected in relation to the PeopleSoft environment. • Coordinates and communicate all security issues related to system administration. Collaborates with functional and technical owners on incident management, problem management, escalation management and resource management. • Other duties as assigned.
• Minimum three (3) year diploma/degree in computer related equipment or application and systems support, or related field. • Security Certifications in good standing or in process of acquiring certification. • Minimum of three (3) years of field experience that includes: • Strong knowledge of programming techniques, PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, PeopleTools development technology, JDeveloper, Java, XML. • Experience with LDAP and single sign-on(SSO) technologies for enterprise authentication and authorization. • Strong understanding of the risks inherent to security management within PeopleSoft. • Understanding of segregation of duty concerns as it relates to business processes and also security controls within a technology setting. • Auditing and reporting on all access entities (role, permission list, components, etc.) • Knowledge and experience of the software development lifecycle and the project management lifecycle with excellent organizational and time management skills. • Excellent track record in IT Security Issue Management and Tracking. • Ability to work independently and under pressure to solve complex problems. • Well-developed interpersonal, customer service and communication skills (verbal and written) to interact effectively with multi-cultural/racial/able students, staff and the public are required.
Hourly Wage Rate
Payband I: Start rate $31.56, Maximum rate $36.58
Weekly Hours of Work
40 hours (overtime as required). Monday to Friday
As soon as possible to January 2015
