Reporting to the Technical Team Lead as a team member of the i3 ERP Project, the Human Resources( HR) Developer is responsible for the configuration of PeopleSoft Human Resources modules. Based on requirements specified by the i3 Business Analyst or Development Lead; the incumbent builds the PeopleSoft HR application solution. The Developer consults with the Development Lead, i3 client, and/or Business Analyst to clarify the request and validates the results, assists in the deployment as well as client training. Produces technical documentation and basic client user documentation of the final results. The HR Developer provides functional knowledge to the i3 HR Business Analyst to assist in defining business requirements and understanding the PeopleSoft technical environment.
• Based on the program design, develops, codes, and tests programs to satisfy the specified requirements and effected changes, as defined. This activity requires the Developer to apply and adapt a high degree of knowledge of programming techniques and language(s) in order to deliver the product according to specifications. • Testing requires designing test procedures and running the developed program(s) against test data. The Developer prepares test cases based on the defined test plan. All test content; including results are stored within a shared repository to record purposes and to be re-used by the incumbent or other team members. • The resulting output is validated with the expected results. Errors are identified and the defect program source code is corrected. • Code reviews are required and scheduled for all work and communicated with the Development Lead. • Assignments are issued in the form of system specifications from a Development Lead, who is responsible for the system in which the new requirement, problem or change request exists. The Developer uses the specifications to understand the nature of the assignment, discussing the requirements with the Development Lead, other team members or specialists within the business focus. • Based on the available input and output, the Developer must establish the effort that is required to complete the defined solution. Detailed methods are planned, documented and presented to the Development Lead prior to construction. • The activity requires adopting known analytical techniques and possibly developing new methods to address the various situations and issues associated with the root business problem. • Designs the logic for a new program and/or designs changes to existing programs. • Assists the Development Lead, DBA, Project Manager and/or clients to implement the solutions that are developed. This activity may include assisting in training and client acceptance testing. • The Developer, prior to deployment, completes the Request for Change (RFC) according to procedures. • Following defined documentation policies, standards and procedures, the Developer writes and maintains technical documentation for programs that have been modified, deleted or created. • Other duties as assigned.
• Minimum 3 year post-secondary degree/diploma in Computer Science, Computer Programming and Analysis or related field. • Minimum 2 years of PeopleSoft development experience with People Tools, People Code, PS Query and XML / BI Publisher. • Minimum 1 year of experience in working with PeopleSoft HR system. • Minimum 3 years knowledge/skills Knowledge/skills are required in the following areas: knowledge in data accessing language, knowledge of operating system environments; user interface programming techniques; and application server programming techniques and markup languages and advanced desktop computer skills in the college’s desktop environment to produce programs, documentation, and graphic presentations. • Ability to understand and efficiently apply complex analytical techniques of the highest order to business problems; demonstrating in-depth knowledge of structured and object oriented programming techniques and principles and the ability to adapt them to changing requirements. • Excellent written and verbal communication skillsets. • Experience is required in an IT client services role with exposure to client support including hardware and administrative software installation, troubleshooting and deployment. • Experience in query analysis, complex business transactions and data processing. • Demonstrated interpersonal, listening and business relationship skills. • Ability to manage with multiple demands, competing priorities, and meeting deadlines.

Payband I: Start rate $31.56, Maximum rate $36.58
