Reporting to the Chair, School of International Business, the Professor will be responsible for providing academic leadership and developing an effective learning environment for students through designing, revising and delivering curricula. The Professor will be responsible for teaching a variety of courses, which may include: International Finance and Accounting, Business Finance, International Advanced Purchasing and Strategy, Export Marketing and Trade Research.
• The Professor will be responsible for developing subject and program objectives, defining and evaluating learning outcomes and developing/selecting appropriate learning materials. • The Professor will teach subjects in his/her areas of expertise, provide academic and career counseling to students, and evaluate student performance. • The Professor will participate in the work of curriculum, program advisory and other committees through consultation with business and industry representatives.
• Doctorate Degree in Business Administration (or related discipline) is required for this position. • 5 years related industry experience (International Business and/or Finance.) • 2 years teaching at the post secondary level or equivalent is required. • Preference will be given to candidates with International Project Management experience or experience with ERP systems internationally. • The incumbent must have the demonstrated ability to develop curriculum and incorporate technology into his/her teaching and must have expertise using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. • Excellent communication and human relation skills are essential to interact effectively with the College’s multi-cultural/racial/able student and staff population, as is an understanding of and commitment to education equity. The ability to convey the conceptual and practical aspects of curriculum to students, while respecting their diverse backgrounds, experience and individual learning styles is necessary. • Must be able to work independently and with other faculty to develop and deliver curriculum and contribute positively to the team environment. • Demonstrated leadership, computer and organizational skills, motivation and a willingness to innovate and apply new teaching techniques and technologies is also required.
