Digital Display Co-ordinator (Initiatives/Opportunities position to September 2014)
Reporting to the Manager of Communications, the incumbent is responsible for managing requests in a timely manner for new content to be posted on the College’s digital display system at four campuses and exterior digital signage at two campuses. The incumbent also supports the work of the Manager of Communications through administrative functions related to the organization of a content management system and works with College departments to develop content in response to their requests. The Digital Display Co-ordinator is responsible for the creation of graphic templates in line with the Seneca brand and for the uploading of content. The incumbent will develop and refine layouts for the presentation of information on the display system and work with Information Technology Services to troubleshoot any technical challenges.
• Manages requests in a timely manner for new content to be posted on the digital display system and exterior digital signage. • Supports the work of the Manager of Communications through administrative functions related to the organization of a content management system. • Regularly monitors all email requests from college departments and confirms information to be posted, duration of posting, etc. • Creates graphic templates in line with the Seneca brand. • Develops and refines layouts for the presentation of information on the display system. • Creates engaging visuals to promote Seneca news and services. • Uploads content and works with Information Technology Services to troubleshoot any technical challenges. • Other duties as assigned.
• Minimum 3 year Diploma/Degree or equivalent in Graphic Design, Computer Programming, Communications, Digital Media. • Minimum of 2 years’ working experience in a similar role. • Proficiency with PC and OSX Macintosh operating systems. • Understanding of photographic principles and proficiency with digital photography including digital photographic manipulation software such as Adobe Creative Suite. • Proficiency with video production technologies such as After Effects, Premiere, Final Cut Pro. • Proficiency with professional-standard vector-based rendering software such as Adobe Illustrator. • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with the college’s multi-cultural/racial/able staff, clients and public.

Hourly Wage Rate
Payband G: Start rate $26.92, Maximum rate $31.21
Weekly Hours of Work
35 hours (overtime as required). Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM
