Role Summary The Manager, Physical Medicine QA role for CIRA MEDICAL SERVICES will be responsible to:
• Ensure optimum report quality within their functional area wherein the conclusions are consistent with the report content, medical-based evidence, and within the scope of the assessor’s expertise; as escalated when appropriate
• In conjunction with the Director, Clinical QA, lead and champion change, especially in Quality Assurance standards of Corporate product from their functional perspective
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with the other division managers and Operational team
Competencies required to succeed • Effective communication skills (oral and written)
• Strong working knowledge of applicable medical terminology
• Ability to interpret and apply legislation in their area of technical expertise
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment with proven prioritization skills
• IME experience is preferred
• Detail oriented
Responsibilities • The Manager, Physical Medicine QA, is responsible for ensuring optimum report quality within their respective function including the following:
o Consistency between the report content and provided file documentation
o Sufficient and appropriate content with regards to the purpose of the assessment and the referral questions
o Client expectations are addressed within the assessment process
o The overall content of the report conforms with all applicable legislative requirements
o The conclusions are consistent with the report content, medical-based evidence, and within the scope of the assessor’s expertise
• Manage applicable spreads to ensure timely delivery of reports within their respective function
• Identify and implement improvements within their respective function to increase efficiency within the overall QA processes
• Collaborate with all other QA divisions to ensure appropriate integration of the final report product
• Liaise closely with the operational division to ensure quality assurance feedback is provided and incorporated appropriately into the process
• Communicate with clients as necessary to address feedback or report content
• Provide feedback to the Director, Clinical QA and Medical Director with regard to optimization of the assessor roster within their respective function
• Complete annual performance reviews for their respective direct reports
• Participate in any internal departmental meetings as requested
• Other duties as delegated
Education, knowledge and experience required • University health sciences degree, related to the role
• Three (3) years minimum IME industry experience is an asset
• Three (3) years of related clinical experience is preferred
• Excellent command of the English language (Written and verbal)
