Role Summary This position will deliver quality and timely investigations through the implementation of the best practices, uniformity and building relationship with our clients.

Responsibilities
Duties for this position include, but are not limited to:
 
Investigations
  • Investigate questionable insurance claims on behalf of our customers
  • Investigate fraudulent claims on behalf of our Corporate Clients
  • Report your findings to our customers in accordance with FIC Standards and Practices
  • Ensure our Client protocols are followed
  • Develop alliances with local police forces, and other investigative bodies
  • When required, meet with customers to ensure you are meeting their needs
  • Obtain statements related to questionable insurance claims and corporate investigations
  • Conduct interviews related to questionable insurance claims and corporate investigations
  • Conduct public record and social media research investigations

Insurance Company Relations

  • Develop relationships with local insurance company claims & SIU departments in an effort to promote FIC's services
  • Support and accompany FIC Business Development Team while visiting existing and potential clients of FIC for the purposes for promoting Forensics’ services
Accountabilities [and to whom]
  • To ensure compliance with defined procedures practices and standards as set out by FIC, as well as be in compliance with Provincial and Federal Legislation.
  • As a condition of employment, all employees will maintain confidentiality of all records and information relating to the business of Forensic Investigations Canada.
Education, knowledge and experience required
  • Post-Secondary education related to the field of investigations
  • Minimum 5 years investigative experience with demonstrated interviewing and investigative techniques
  • Prior police and/or insurance claims experience an asset
  • Experience working with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Valid Ontario Private Investigation licence
  • Clean driving record
