Position Title/Titre du poste SVP National Sales & Business Development- RMS
Role Summary  
As a key member of the RMS senior leadership team, you are instrumental in contributing both passion and expert knowledge to achieve sales vision by implementing and leading the sales strategy. Reporting to the President, RMS, the Senior Vice President, Sales plays a key role in long-term strategic planning related to the organization's sustainability while fostering an environment of high performance. 
 
Developing the annual sales plans to meet corporate goals, execute day-to-day sales activities, provide sales forecasting and reporting, identify and develop multi-line sales channels and build and mentor a winning sales team are key responsibilities of this role.
 
You will lead and manage the sales team with accountability for the effectiveness of the entire group, including responsibility for new and organic revenue growth. Using your experience you will build and maintain key relationships with existing and potential customers.
 
Champion and lead the establishment of new sales opportunities and recommend solutions to enhance the overall effectiveness of RMS’ sales channels. Prioritize and rank sales opportunities by market sector and actively pursue those deemed most worthwhile.
Work closely with Corporate and RMS marketing department to ensure that marketing efforts are effective and aligned to the sales organization's needs.
 
Work closely with RMS Operations to ensure that sales plans and activities are effective and aligned to the operations team’s profitability & quality targets and capacity planning.

Responsibilities  
Operations
  • Work with the President in the creation of the strategic plan for RMS sales.
  • Translate the strategic plan into a vision and plan for implementation.
  • Lead internal management for all prospect and account proposals, including leading the RFP process, and required presentations.

Leadership

  • Lead and champion change.
  • Mentor, inspire and challenge sales team to meet their full potential.
  • Maintain strong relationship with RMS Operations; work in concert for success.
  • Work in collaboration with other SCM Senior Sales leaders to advance sales strategy

 
Financial Management:
  • Responsible for creation and implementation of the annual national sales budget to meet the strategic goals and objectives of the company.
  • Lead the regional sales teams in the creation and development of their annual sales business plan and budget.
  • Ensure business targets and financial success are tracked and targeted against the business plan.
  • Analyze and control expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements.
 
Sales and Client Interaction:
  • Build and execute strategic account penetration plans.
  • Ensure customer relationship management by establishing ongoing communication, customer satisfaction and face-to-face interaction.
  • Use consultative problem solving to create and customize solutions for clients.
  • Create strategy to service, maintain and increase volume of business currently being received from existing clients.

Education, knowledge and experience required  
  • University degree, related to role.
  • Extensive leadership experience, direct management of a sales team
  • CIP or CRM certification is an asset.
  • 8+ years of related sales operational experience.
  • 5+ year’s Insurance industry or related experience.
  • Proven track record in managing and growing an account portfolio.
  • Prior experience with sales and sales management tracking databases.
  • Knowledge of Commercial and Residential inspection business is an asset.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
