Role Summary The Claimspro Licensing Officer works to ensure the compliance of licensing regulations across all provinces and territories. This position works in conjunction with each provincial licensing body to understand all requirements including continuing education for each jurisdiction. The Licensing Officer will ensure the licensing database is updated to maintain accurate records of licensing levels and all relevant documentation required by both regulatory bodies and our clients. The Licensing Officer will be the designated point of contact for all license applications and terminations. On an annual basis, the licensing officer will work with finance and Claimspro management to coordinate the bulk renewal of adjuster licenses. The Licensing Officer will also be responsible to ensure that professional liability coverage is coordinated for adjusters working in provinces requiring this coverage.

This is a full-time position that can be based either in Edmonton, AB, or Toronto, ON.

  • Work with licensing regulatory bodies to understand licensing requirements and process for each jurisdiction
  • Work with Claimspro senior leadership, middle management, and adjusters to ensure compliance to licensing requirements for each province
  • Lead the internal licensing process for the province of Ontario by being the single point of contact with FSCO
  • Work with other provincial licensing designates to request required documentation for licensing of adjusters outside of Ontario
  • Coordinate the request of payments for licensing applications
  • Track and work with management to prepare candidates for oral and written examinations
  • Ensure terminations of licenses for all terminated adjusters
  • Liaise with provincial license authorities to present Claimspro licensing compliance solutions by communicating our internal processes, database and reporting functionality
  • Continue to work with IT to improve the Claimspro licensing database to increase functionality and seamless reporting and tracking of adjusters working without the proper licensing authorities
  • Lead the provincial renewal of licenses for all jurisdictions allowing for “bulk” renewal of licenses
  • Communicate change to licensing and continuing education requirements to the Claimspro leadership team
  • Ensure that personal and confidential (i.e. criminal, financial etc) information received from licensing bodies are kept in the strictest of confidence in accordance with PIPEDA
  • Create and communicate statistics on licensing levels by province to the Claimspro senior leadership team
  • Create accurate reports for clients on licensing levels as required by region or accounts
  • Work with management teams and licensing bodies in various locations to fast-track Catastrophe Response licensing when required
Education, knowledge and experience required


  • Post- secondary degree or diploma in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work with senior leadership teams to ensure compliance of regulatory requirements
  • Experience working with regulatory licensing organizations beneficial
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with regulatory bodies to ensure effective working relationships
  • Ability to work with IT and senior leadership teams to create system based solutions to administrative issues
