Role Summary The Director, Clinical QA will be responsible to:

• Oversees all Quality Assurance for non-CAT reports;
• Ensure appropriate process improvement reviews and corrective actions are taken where circumstances require to ensure that the Corporate technical and clinical Quality Assurance standards are attained and maintained within the appropriate QA department
• In conjunction with the Medical Director provide input in managing the clinical assessors and fee schedules as required
• Liaise closely with the operational division to ensure quality assurance feedback is provided and any improvements incorporated appropriately into the process
• In conjunction with the Medical Director and the Cira sales team
• Design and Deliver client education/seminars
• Participate in client facing trade shows to market Cira’s clinical expertise’
• Participate in educational conferences such as those sponsored to increase knowledge base and exposure to other colleagues, business owners, lawyers and senior Insurance people
• Design and deliver internal training to staff and/or Assessors

Responsibilities • Performs all duties of the Director, Clinical QA role
• Works with the Medical Director, Cira Medical Services in the creation of the annual business plan and budget for the department
• Leads and champions change, especially in Quality Assurance standards of Corporate product Ensures quality parameters are attained within the scope the Clinical QA function
• Develops and maintains strong relationships with the other division Directors, Operational Leads and the Sales team
• In conjunction with operations and/or sales provides technical expertise in their respective area - to the client
• Manage applicable spreads to ensure appropriate workload distribution and timely delivery of reports within the Clinical QA function
• Provide feedback to the Medical Director with regards to optimization of the assessor roster within the Clinical QA function.
• Complete annual performance reviews for their respective direct reports
• Participate in any internal departmental meetings as requested
• Manage all HR related functions within their respective department i.e. first-level discipline/verbal warning regarding performance issues and vacation requests
• Other duties as assigned
Education, knowledge and experience required • University health sciences degree, related to the role
• Duly trained Licensed Health Professional
• Five (5) years minimum IME experience is an asset
• Five (5) years minimum of related clinical experience is preferred
• Fluent in English (written and verbal)
