Senior Embedded Software Developer |
| Position Overview |
We are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Developer to work within an integrated team of senior hardware and software developers. This position will be a key contributor to JRTI’s embedded engineering services group, and work will be performed primarily at our clients facilities in the Ottawa area.
The ideal candidate will fit the following profile:
● Accomplished embedded software developer with at least 8 -10 years of hands on coding work for commercial products
● The candidate will have had exposure to projects dealing with IP telephony, digital voice codecs, or networking protocols for VOIP
● Familiar with FPGA and CPLD based designs

| Responsibilities |
● Primarily responsible for developing embedded software as required to complete projects assigned
● Work closely with other team members to ensure that full functionality of target hardware is enabled
● Complete engineering documentation as required to support testing and product manuals
● Attend project meetings, and collaborate with other software and hardware engineers to ensure all milestones and deadlines are met

| Requirements |
● BSc. E.E. or equivalent
● Strong C/C++ and assembly language skills targeting ARM or Power architectures
● Capable of developing boot code in addition to low-level subsystem drivers such as RTC, DMA, SPI, UART, I2C
● Strong debugging and board bring up skills
● Attention to detail and excellent communication skills a must
