Position Summary Depending on the functional area/work load the Marketing Assistant will report to the Marketing & Community Relations Consultant or the General/Assisted/Independent Living Manager. This role will conduct all duties in a manner which promotes a high standard of customer service and professionalism at the facility. Central responsibilities as a Marketing Assistant will be to provide tours to customers, assist the Marketing & Community Relations Consultant with events and other marketing related duties.

Please note, the schedule for this position is Wednesday-Sunday (Full-time).
Responsibilities Marketing Assistant:
 Assists with evaluation of marketing initiatives.
 Provides tours of suites to customers (walk-ins or appointments).
 Assists with planning of various business development and client events, including maintenance of client database.
 Maintains an awareness of current events & best practices for the areas of responsibility.
 Assists with screening and qualifying phone calls from prospective customers.
 Establishes and maintains processes to effectively fulfill role responsibilities.
 Acts on behalf of the Marketing Coordinator in the absence of the Marketing Coordinator.


Qualifications  Grade 12 education.
 1 year previous marketing, sales, customer service or administrative experience and/or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
 Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
 Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently and understand verbal and written instructions.
 Customer service oriented; interest in working with seniors.
 Ability to plan, organize and prioritize.
 Knowledge of general office procedures.
 Ability to multi-task as well as thrive and make decisions in a fast paced environment.
 Ability to work independently and in cooperation with others.
 Ability to demonstrate tact, diplomacy, empathy and patience in providing quality services to residents.
 Creative thinker and excellent interpersonal skills.
 Ability to interact professionally with all levels of business personnel and build strong working relationships.
