Position Overview Reporting to the Manager of Police Services, the Records Quality Control Coordinator will ensure completeness and accuracy while maintaining the continuity of investigational material and the integrity of reports within the police records management system. 
Responsibilities This position will cooperate with the investigators and operations officer to seek clarification or direction on investigational matters.  This position will also create monthly or yearly statistical reports for Statistics Canada and the Port Moody Police Board and will recommend changes to policies and procedures that relate to the maintenance and confidentiality of police investigational files.

Basic Qualifications
  • Grade 12 plus a minimum of two years of relevant experience in a police records unit or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Knowledge and experience with PRIME BC, CPIC, UCR and police terminology
  • Proficiency and thorough knowledge and experience in Typing and Microsoft Office
  • Effective communication skills both oral and written
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to use sound and independent judgment
  • A valid Class 5 BC driver’s licence
