Position Overview

 The City of Port Moody is looking for enthusiastic hard working individuals to provide seasonal labour assistance to the Trails Construction team. 


This work entails considerable physical effort and agility in the performance of a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled trail construction work and other general labouring duties as required.
 * This position is scheduled to work March 4, 2013 to approximately August 30, 2013.
The employment period stated above may be shortened, or extended, due to operational requirements.
Please note that employment with the City of Port Moody is subject to the receipt of a satisfactory police records check and also a satisfactory driver’s abstract.  Please submit your online application by the posting close date.
Basic Qualifications
  • Grade 12 education plus a minimum of six months job-related experience or an equivalent combination
  • Sufficient physical strength, stamina and coordination to perform heavy manual outdoor work in all weather conditions
  • Experience in operating small equipment and small hand tools
  • Ability to work as part of a team and be an effective team member
  • Experience in carpentry, inspecting, maintaining and constructing trails would be an asset
  • Previous experience in landscaping/parks maintenance would also be an asset
  • A valid Class 5 BC Driver’s licence is required
