Job Title Building Supply Store Manager

Our client, a competitive supplier to the new home, farm, and industrial market; is currently searching for a Building Supply Store Manager. The Store Manager will lead the centre’s customer service experience and develop a team atmosphere. The successful candidate will be responsible for; attracting and retaining customers, drive sales, manage purchasing and inventory, as well as in-store communication and expenses. This position requires a forward thinking individual to continually monitor industry trends to remain competitive in the marketplace. The successful candidate will also be responsible for recruiting, training, and hiring new employees, controlling payroll budgets as well as staff scheduling, attend annual budget meetings as well as participate in establishing goals for business growth.
The successful candidate will possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills and be highly organized with excellent document management abilities. The key to your success will be your ability to motivate others as well as get “Hands on” in accomplishing tasks to meet goals and objectives.
Requirements •5+ years management experience
•5+ years retail experience with lumber and building materials/products
•Diploma/Degree with a focus on Business/Management
•Experience with scheduling, payroll, purchasing, inventory, as well as loss prevention
