Job Title Chief Information Officer

As a member of Fanshawe’s Senior Management team reporting to the Vice-President Administration, the Chief Information Officer (CIO) will provide effective stewardship and vision through strategic leadership, oversight, and management of all Information Technology services and infrastructure. The CIO will be responsible for creating solutions strategies that will support the achievement of the College’s academic and administrative priorities that are reflective of Fanshawe College’s Mission, Vision, and Values. The CIO is also accountable for maintaining all current IT business continuity plans, IT security and disaster recovery processes for IT services, while ensuring fiscal accountability.
Requirements As the successful candidate, the Chief Information Officer will be required to have a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems with a Masters Degree preferred, combined with 10 plus years progressive IT and leadership experience within a complex business environment. The CIO must possess a sound knowledge and proven track record in computing, telecommunication technologies, information systems and services, including a strong knowledge of network architectures. This critical role requires an individual with
exceptional interpersonal, strategic leadership and communication skills to develop and lead
a highly functioning IT team. This includes a demonstrated ability to partner effectively with an
established cross functional senior leadership team.
