Program Agenda We have an employment opportunity in our People Department for a Learning Technology Specialist. This position reports to the Manager, People Development.

The successful candidate brings their passion for technology to the learner experience, their curiosity to developing and maintaining the best possible learning technology solutions and their creativity to online course development.
Key Duties & Responsibilities •Acts as lead Learning Management System (LMS) administrator (course testing, set-up, audience management, ongoing maintenance, LMS troubleshooting, News section updates etc).
•Applies technical expertise to the design, development and maintenance of multi-media learning solutions that are just-in-time, engaging and interactive for adult learners.
•Uses multi-media instructional design and technical expertise to design, develop and/or author online courses (including SCORM/AICC requirements) and learning resources (manuals, job aids).
•Acts as coordination point between learning technology (LMS) vendor and IT department; keeps current on LMS upgrades, impact and supports implementation.
•Consults with internal colleagues and external vendors on technical requirements & deployment of e-learning courses and programs; provides advice and proposes “best” e-learning solutions.
•Manages a portfolio projects from design through launch/implementation. (includes communications, resources, budget, timelines and deliverables).
•Makes continuous improvements in key processes, techniques, and procedures related to OFG’s instructional technology strategy.
•Keeps current on trends and advancements in the learning/instructional technology field.
•Sources and analyzes “off-the shelf” learning & development products and solutions.
•Provides ongoing, timely consultation and support to learners, managers and system administrators.
•Acts as a centre of expertise on learning and learning technology-related topics, queries and initiatives.
•Maintains positive relationships and networks with internal and external contacts.
Criteria for Application •Relevant experience in the design and development of e-learning solutions, educational materials and use of instructional media.
•Familiarity and experience working with a variety of learning technologies including in-depth knowledge of LMS features and functionality.
•Project and program management experience.
•Demonstrated interpersonal skills and promotes collaborative relationships inside and outside the organization.
•Ability to champion change and multi-task in a deadline-driven work environment.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Demonstrated service and team building orientation.
•Sound analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
•Bachelor’s Degree/diploma/certificate in a relevant discipline preferably education, educational technology, computer science or related field is an asset.
•CHRP designation is considered as asset.
•Proven commitment to providing superior customer service.
•Flexible and adaptable and willing to work in a changing and fast paced environment.
•Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
