We have a permanent full time employment opportunity in our Finance department for a Tax Analyst. This position reports to the Manager, Taxation.
|Key Duties & Responsibilities
||•Perform research of income and sales tax compliance issues along with tax planning opportunities and communicate to the business.
•Ensure tax efficiency and effectiveness in business and finance systems and processes.
•Prepare year-end tax package and assist external auditor and JPI in tax reporting and audit requirements.
•Provide tax support and advice to internal customers (Langley office, retail business) and external customers as appropriate.
•Provide research support and obtain necessary support documentation to minimize assessment in tax authority audits.
•Stay current with tax legislation, case law and tax authority pronouncements and advise OFG stakeholders as appropriate.
|Criteria for Application
||•CA / CGA / CMA designation or near completion or equivalent industry experience.
•Completion of In Depth GST and In Depth Income Tax course is preferred but not a prerequisite.
•Superior interpersonal, communication, collaboration, research and problem solving skills.
•Ability to apply technical knowledge to business situations and communicate in laymen language.
•Proven initiative and ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
