Program Agenda We have a full time employment opportunity in our Transportation Department for a Logistics Clerk. This position reports to the Manager, Transportation.

This position is responsible for the administration of logistics services including O,S&D management, auditing and bill payment of carrier payables, repair and maintenance, fining, lumping, and other incidental expenses. This position also serves as a backup Load Planner to cover Outbound and Inbound Load Planning as is deemed necessary. In this capacity, the position is accountable for planning and coordinating inbound & outbound shipments into the warehouses and retail stores and for booking appointments and expediting shipments.
Key Duties & Responsibilities •Performs administrative duties to support logistics services including Overages, Shortages & Damages (O,S&D) reconciliation.
•Audits and processes all carrier payables for outbound store deliveries and inbound backhaul shipments. Resolves billing disputes with carriers.
•Responsible for Carrier and Vendor Fining Administration. Processes fining amounts. Responds to inquiries and disputes. Releases billing transactions to A/P for payment
•Processes warehouse lumping transactions with lumping service contractor.
•Prepares & processes work orders for repairs, maintenance, inspections, and insurance renewals on OFG equipment.
•Data collection, and prepares and maintains various reports for the Transportation Manager & Finance.

Backup Load Planning Duties - builds efficient and economical routes for shipments using the transportation management system and tender to carriers.

•Monitors shipments to ensure on-time delivery, and ensure proper communication and action is taken.
•Resolves all carrier, vendor, purchasing and warehousing daily issues.
•Maintains and prepares KPI’s for carriers within specific freight lanes.
•Initiates action plans for non-compliant carriers who do not meet service parameters.
•Assists carriers in resolving issues regarding unloading and waiting time issues.
•Manually assigns or overrides appointments for unplanned and priority loads.
Criteria for Application •Grade 12 education, and a working knowledge and/or education in the transportation and logistics field.
•A good working knowledge of MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Access) and of office procedures.
•Ability to work with Supply Chain Management systems including TMS, WMS, A-Series.
•Great customer service, communication and interpersonal skills to deal with internal and external customers in a professional manner. A demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
•Analytical thinking and a demonstrated ability to use a methodical approach to break down complex problems, identify cause/effect patterns, analyze problems and develop solutions.
•Strong mathematical and organizational skills and attention to accuracy and detail.

When performing outbound Load Planning coverage, this position has a start time as early as 4:00am and requires some weekend shifts.
