Title CADD Technician (1 FT Permanent & 1 FT Temporary)

Program Agenda We have (2) employment opportunities – (1) full time permanent and (1) full time temporary in our Store Planning and Design Department for a CADD Technician. These positions report to the Manager, Store Planning and Design.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
•Produce and develop CADD drawings for OFG stores and facilities from preliminary layout designs.
•Prepare retail lineage footage studies and calculations plans to ensure efficient merchandising and operational performance.
•Maintain a hard copy of technical drawings and files, including improvement drawings and coordination in ensuring the integrity of the information.
•Creation of millwork drawings in 2D and 3D and preliminary fixture layouts and décor drawings.
•Perform the day to day printing of drawings for department requirements.
•Maintain electronic archives by scanning all existing as-built drawings, as well as upholding the organization of the samples library.
•Develop alliances and partnerships with internal and external contacts with a focus on the organizations overall strategic plan.
•Co-ordination of costing requests from other departments.
•Project co-ordination with Architects and Engineers.
•Supports other team members as required.
Criteria for Application
•Experience working with AutoCAD 2011 or newer is required.
•Strong AutoCAD 3D skills. Knowledge of dynamic blocks would be an asset.
•Post secondary education specializing in Architectural Building technology or equivalent experience.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project 2003 or newer. Experience working with Photoshop, FTP programs and REVIT would be an asset.
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written.
•Self-starter with strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
•Ability to work in a fast paced team environment with minimal supervision.
