We currently have a full time employment opportunity available in our IT Systems & Programming department for a Programmer/Programmer Analyst. This position reports to the Development Manager.
|Key Duties & Responsibilities
•Writes, modifies, integrates, tests and maintains software code.
•Prepares technical documentation including but not limited to user manuals, technical support guides and help desk documentation.
•Participates in code reviews.
•Provides technical support to system users.
•Participates in integration and system test execution.
•Ensures technical direction and standards are implemented in deliverables.
|Criteria for Application
•Diploma or Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
•Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
•Ability to organize and prioritize job tasks in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
•Strong communications skills, both verbal and written.
•Experience with Java technologies such as JSP, Apache, Tomcat, Java EE, and JBoss is a definite asset
•Knowledge in one or more of the following application development technologies: Java, C# and/or Web technologies, ASP.Net/JSP & JSF.
•Knowledge of relational databases, data modeling, design and implementation using either Oracle or SQL Server technologies.
•Knowledge of source control process and tools.
•Knowledge of unit test frameworks (nunit/junit).
•Demonstrated ability to translate requirements into a program specification.
•Actively stays current on technological direction and industry trends.
•Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot problems and recommend solutions.
