||We have a temporary (approximately 1 year) employment opportunity in our IT Help Desk and Operations department for a Help Desk Analyst. This position reports to the Manager, IT Service Desk.
Working in a call centre environment the Help Desk Analyst will support retail and business users with first level support for their system and computer inquiries. Issues that cannot be resolved on first contact are re-assigned and followed up by other work teams. Participate in tracking the lifecycle of the incident and ensuring it is brought to a close.
|Key Duties & Responsibilities
•Responds to requests for technical assistance via telephone or electronically.
•Diagnoses and resolves technical hardware and software issues.
•Follows standard help desk procedures.
•Tracks and routes problems and requests and documents resolutions.
•Coordinates hardware and software repairs.
•Escalates system problems to second level support as required.
•Performs other call center related duties as required.
|Criteria for Application
•Focus on providing superior customer service within a team oriented environment.
•Completion or pursuit of a College or Technical Institute Diploma or Certificate (MCSE, MCP for Windows 2000/Xp, Network Essentials) or 1-3 years experience in equivalent computer field or related area an asset.
•Experience in delivering telephone customer service.
•Knowledge of telecommunications hardware/software.
•Knowledge of operating systems.
•Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet applications.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills.
•Demonstrates confidence, patience and diplomacy in a fast paced environment.
Please note that this is a full time temporary position expected to last for the duration of approximately 12 months.
